Awakening Artists

In less than 24 hours, we'll be on our way.  Our mission:  helping the poor tell their own stories through art, and Awakening the Artists of South Africa to God's calling for their art.  Our team blog is:  http://www.awakeningartists.wordpress.com/.  Even if I'm unable to post on my blog, someone will always update you daily on the Awakening Artists' blog.  I encourage you to visit it now and get a sense of what we are all about.  I'm leaving with such a feeling of expectation for what is about to take place.  God has something BIG and He's about to reveal it.  Future posts from me are guaranteed to be written from an entirely new and shifting viewpoint.  See you later, from Africa!

Village Visit

Our team of artists will also get a taste of traditional South African culture. We'll attend a welcome dinner in a village called Kwa-Ndebele one evening, spend the night in huts there and then spend time in Kwaggafontein  the next day.  This is a picture of the huts that we'll stay in when they were under construction..

Incredibly, we leave the day after tomorrow.  There's so much to look forward to on this trip, including getting to know the South African artists, but no less, I'll be getting to know the other Woodmen Artists as well.
